Mist Trail is the last quarter mile hike up to Vernal Falls in Yosemite National Park. It is a tight canyon with a trail along one side of the canyon. Distances are impossible to guess. Using a golf rangefinder, it was possible to survey the area in order to do the sculpture
Upon completion, the first copy of Mist Trail was donated to the National Park Service. It was displayed at the Wawona Hotel which was the first hotel built within the park.
